Hi all, I'm Gary, a 30-year old fan from Port Glasgow in Scotland. I've been buying Big Finish Doctor Who CDs since they first started, always by subscription - do I get some sort of "supporting the business" award? I've got the Dalek Empires, Cyberman, Sarah Jane, Gallifrey and Stage Plays CDs.
I've been watching Doctor Who properly since 1987, becoming a proper "fan" in 1988. Think all the doctors are great, but particularly enjoy the 60's stories, season 12 and season 25.
You probably won't remember me Barnaby, but we met in Milton Keynes just after "Dalek" was broadcast (I asked if you were going to be doing more work with BF, ha). It was really nice meeting you. Also met Jason & Nick at Dimensions on Tyne - great to meet you both too!
One final thing - I am madly in love with India Fisher, so if anyone from BF wants to put in a good word for me, it would be greatly appreciated!
I've fallen slightly behind in listening to my CDs - please excuse my ignorance if I say anything stupid... All comments are my own personal opinions, I don't mean any offence to any writers, directors etc.

I'm Neil. I've been listening to Big Finish since close to the beginning. I started my CD subscriptions with CD #2 Phantasmagoria after getting The Sirens of Time (and some Bernice Summerfield audios) through other means. When the rate of exchange jumped to nearly $2/pound I started getting by CDs through a US dealer, but now that it is closer to $1.56/pound I am thinking to starting a new subscription again.

How many American Big Finish fans are there? It's great that it is global though but it makes me realise how fortunate we Brits really are.

I've been a major Who fan for more than half my life ;) I do get very jealous at all of the Doctor Who things I've missed out on over the years. Unfortunately the BF audio CD's were price prohibitive until the downloads started this year. Now I can't get enough! Dan.

The downloads really have helped the overseas fans. Well done Big Finish!

Hello all.
I'm Reuben (and no I don't work at a lighthouse).
My first Dr. Who memory is my dad waking me up after bedtime to make me watch this odd show on PBS. The first US airing of Frontios. I drifted out of being a fan after seeing Time and the Rani. I drifted back into Who in the early to mid 90's just in time for the TV movie. When I used to have a desk job and time to participate more in forums I took over the Allen Road mailing list from Kate Orman and promptly ran it into the ground.
On audio I shunned the first few Big Finish releases (I was a big fan of the BBV Professor and Ace series) until a friend beat me about the head and made me listen to the first few releases. I've been a subscriber ever since (except when finances wouldn't allow).
I'm pleased to see so many familiar names on the forum here.
I'm 34, live in River Falls, Wisconsin, work in IT and used to think it didn't get any better than Season 26 (I've since decided series 4 is about as good as it gets). I have three kids five and under, and have somehow gotten my wife into the Whoniverse as well. i.e I stay a little too busy nowdays to be as active in fandom as I'd like.

Hello all! I'm KnitChick, or Mary Jo, and I've known about Big Finish for a bit but it was meeting some of the fabulous people behind the audio this weekend at Chicago TARDIS that prompted me to join. No, procrastinating on my homework is not at all a factor ;) Me? I'm a 29-year-old library science student and cosplayer who is currently unemployed and way too broke to buy any Big Finish right now, but soon!! I really want to hear more Big Finish audios, right now all I've got is The Land of the Dead and the Cuddlesome audio that was in DWM earlier this year. I want to listen to everything, but thanks to the discussions at the Big Finish panel I went to on Friday, I'm absolutely dying to hear the Key 2 Time stories (doesn't hurt that I just loved the original Key to Time stories with Four and Romana, those are some of my favourites). Oh and for anyone who's curious -- I was Captain Jack pretty much all weekend (regular Torchwood version with TARDIS key/perception filter on Friday, WWII Empty Child version Saturday and my personal femme!Jack OC on Sunday) :) It was SO nice to walk around a con and have everyone know exactly who I was (I wore the Torchwood Jack costume to Anime Central and very few people recognized me). Um, that's about it. Many thanks to Lisa and Simon, thanks for the great chat Friday morning in the autograph line; to Nicholas for teaching me a bit about the audio format and for some great stories during the roundtable on Saturday (can't wait to see Torchwood, even more so now!!!); to Laura and Ciara for being so utterly sweet; and to Jason, Robert, and Gary for being incredibly entertaining!! I hope I didn't forget anyone. :) I'm still just floating on cloud nine after the weekend! ~MJ~ http://knitchick1979.livejournal.com"Whatever the cost of our libraries, the price is cheap compared to that of an ignorant nation." ~Walter Cronkite~

Hi, I'm Anthony, 40 and I'm a Whoaholic.
First story I remember? Hmm - Green Death I think - it was the giant maggots that did it.
Stopped watching after Colin's first season (beer, girls etc) but back with a vengeance with the new series. Have spent the last 3 years buying up all the classic DVDs out there, full sets of NAs and EDAs and most of the MAs and PDAs (still got an awful lot of them to read) so logical next step was BF, and where better to start than in the sale?
Work as Business Analyst for an Insurance Software firm in London, so no surprise that need an escape after that. My better half loves 'New Who', and very tolerant of my collecting everything else, so that's a result. However, I might need to sneak my ill-gotten gains from the sale past her before she says 'Benny Who????!!!'

OK I’d better introduce myself them.
My name is Phil and I am from Glasgow not Betelgeuse or any of the planets in the vicinity there of. Although I do know where my towel is.
I am running on an emergency backup personality as I can’t use my primary forum presence because I am not allowed to use the underscore character in my user name. If any of you know me from elsewhere then there are some dead giveaways.

Hello, everyone!
Walt here, known around t'interweb as difbrook. Long-term BF-head (been listening since the cassette days with "Oh No It Isn't". Chuffed to bits to find us all still here, all these years later. I'm based in Edinburgh, "celebrating" my 21st year of employment with Napier Unversity here in the frozen north. Get me out of here, somebody!
It's a sad fact, but my first ever brush with DW fandom was a literal one - at my first ever convention in 1992 (Panopticon, total sweatbox in Coventry), I was on stage to answer a competition question. Nick Briggs invited me to dance a few steps to the backing tape, I did - and danced in the exact opposite direction that he did, crashing straight into him. Never danced in public since...
Hope you're all well - looking forward to getting to know you. Probably know a few of you already...

Yetaxa;
First of all- why have you so many posts on this 'section?' Surely one is to introduce oneself, then that's it. There are those that completely ignore introductions and get down to buisness- not everyone is sociable, like you!
Second- Elisabeth Sladen may, or may not work as the Doctor- but we must be due a female Doctor by now. Third-I have omitted the 'h' in 'Sara' because it is not pronounced. Please forgive me.

Oh, I hope I'm not going to get into another argument about overposting, especially with one that introduces himself as 'Sara', despite it being clear from his profile that he is 'Mark Bewley'.
