In an ideal world, what would you like BF to tackle?

I would go for Star Cops. It was extremely well written by Chris Boucher, it was originally sold as a radio series, Boucher and Trevor Cooper are already involved in audios thanks to Kaldor City - and David Calder has stated publicly he'd be happy to play Nathan again. Get Chris Boucher and some of BF's best writers... Could be awesome!

I know everyone always says this, but I would love to see "the Avengers" done. I know there are quite a lot of fans who listen to Big Finish plays.

Failing that Nebulous. The best radio series ever written!

I'd like to see a series of Quatermass plays, set in the 1950s. Alternatively (and this'll never happen due to Eon Productions), a series of authentic adaptations of the Ian Fleming James Bond novels.

I've always liked the idea of Red Dwarf on audio, provided one could get the TV cast though.

And Blake's 7 of course, that would make a good audio series, even if the two plays already released would suggest otherwise.

There have been three Blake's 7 plays already released by Blake's 7 Media.

I am not generally interested in remakes, so I have never really been bothered about the revived audios you've linked me too Chris. Blakes' 7 without Paul Darrow also doesn't apeal either. I've always liked the Avon's Island idea that circulated around during the 90's with a new band of rebels finding the exiled Avon and starting again.

The prequel looks interesting though, as do the other ones mentioned, but it's the original cast I want to hear.

An Adam Adamant Lives! audio could be interesting and fairly appropriate considering its links with Doctor Who.

I'd love to hear some Farscape audios.

And still very possible, with both Gerald Harper and Juliet Harmer still with us (Juliet is still very lovely - saw her a few months back at a Kaleidoscope archive TV gathering in the Midlands) - only the Butler would need recasting as Jack May died a few years back. Adam Adamant Lives! is a series I am very fond of.

I second or third the Avengers idea, as well as Adam Adamant Lives! How great would that be?

What I like about the idea of Adam Adamant Lives! is that it would take a show that at one time was much loved, but didn't get much of a chance to grow (similar to Sapphire & Steel, I suppose).

The Avengers is very established, and has so many characters to draw upon. Steed, Gale, Peel, King, Purdy, Gambit... it would just be lovely. But I'd even love a new cast, new agents to carry on. (Hmm.. would Suzannah Harker play Purdy, since she also plays Sapphire?)

Here is a strange question. We know all the audio of the missing episodes of Doctor Who exists... is there any such audio of the missing episodes of the Avengers or Adam Adamant Lives! ?

There's one Season 1 Avengers audio existing apparently, but it's being hoarded by a private collector who refuses to share it, either officially via DVDs or unofficially. It's reputedly of the episode "Tunnel of Fear". I take it you know about the South African radio series of The Avengers?

There is also a sequence of a missing Adam Adamant Lives on audio, but unfortunately for the greater part it's the flashback "oh, so vulnerable" sequence that is repeated in the existing episodes! I forget which episode it is meant to hail from.

I love to see Quantum Leap, The Time Tunnel, or 4400 have a radio series. That could be interesting...QL of course might be a bit more marketable.

My suggestion would be an American SF series from the 1960's called THE TIME TUNNEL. I used to absolutely adore The Time Tunnel when it was on and I think it would lend itself to the audio format very well. BF would need to recast it as the original actors are now either quite elderly or dead, but I should think you could find some good people to play two-fisted U.S. scientists Dr Tony Newman and Dr Doug Phillips. I'd love to see - or rather hear - more adventures "lost in the swirling maze of past and future ages!"

The actors who played Doug and Tony (Robert Colbert and James Darren) are both still around - in their seventies, mind you.

And of course Lee Meriwether who played Dr Ann MacGregor in the series. It would be nice to get them in to play cameo roles in any potential TIME TUNNEL audio series. I know Lee Meriwether already does talking books so she might be game for such a project.

I always thought Joe Ahearne's modern vampire series, Ultraviolet, would be a good one. Susannah Harker already works with BF. Unfortunately Idris Elba's having too much fun with The Wire now and Jack Davenport is always in Hollywood these days too... Ah well.

They could always have a crack the The Tripods. That's got to be worth a shot, surely?

Also, moving away from sci-fi, I think they could do an amazing job with Simon Brett's Charles Paris novels. I've got the lot. They're witty, intelligent and perfect for BF to adapt. Radio 4 have done a couple of adaptations with Bill Nighy as Charles - but I reckon BF could do a much better job.

I'd love to hear a proper three-story adaptation of The Tripods books (or even any of John Christopher's other works), although I suspect that the series is still tied up in Hollywood development hell.

I've always suggested "The Land of the Lost", for it's strange mix of time travel, lost civilizations, cavemen, dinosaurs, beings from other dimensions, parallel universes, glowing crystals, time doorways, medusa, strange technology and goofy fun!

Maybe mixing the old cast with a new cast.
