David, Just to say - Thank You for the excellent reviews and comments you've been doing! So far I've never really disagreed with you, and when I have it's been on such a pernickty point that it just felt gauche to post for the sake of posting. Equally - just as gauche to potentially keep posting a one-line 'I agree!' in return. So, an encompassing 'I agree with you (on the whole, but let's not fall out)' and, please, keep them coming. Very well written, interesting and balanced, and a joy to read. Hi Chris,
You are very welcome.
I do hope that more people will post their own reviews, or even their disagreements with my views. On the basis that all opinions are right, I am keen to hear the different takes that are out there, and sometimes get the benefit of insights I lack. So feel free to post where you vary from my assessment and I'll be glad to read them.
As long as we're all friendly and balanced in our remarks I think we can all gain from sharing our different perspectives. It's only when peple get too defensive or aggressive over a mere difference of opinion that the truth gets lost in the energy of the discussion.
So come on folks, let's have more reviews, on all the ranges.
All the best,
David

I echo Chris's sentiments: your reviews are excellent, David. They're rounded, informative, well-written and critical without being negative - would that more reviewers wrote like you! Keep them coming.

It's a shame, there's so few stories that he hasn't reviewed yet. It may run dry soon.

I wish that I could write such great reviews. I'm not very good at review type writings.

I'll try. I have done a few slightly longer posts in the past. Of course, I think that everyone wants me to do fewer posts so that I'm not always there.

The 8th Doctor New Adventures series I and II... The Doctor Who subscriber Specials... Dalek Empire seriesI, II, III and IV... Cyberman... Sarah Jane Smith series I and II... Gallifrey series I... Sapphire and Steel series I, II and III... UNIT... Bernice Summerfield series I to IV and VI... and that's just the ones I own! There is also the upcoming 8th Doctor series III, Cyberman series II, plus the continuing monthly releases and the remaining series above that I haven't yet purchased. So I'm sure you'll all be bored with me long before I run out of things to write about.
All the best, David

Barnaby x Shucks! Thank you kind sir. I hope I can give back something of the enjoyment I've gained from the Big Finish productions.

Have you put these reviews on any other sites that actually deal with Doctor Who related reviews?

I usually just write them online after I've listened to the production in question. I don't frequent many other Doctor Who sites, so wouldn't really know where to post such things. My preference would be to post links back to the articles on this forum rather than copy them elsewhere. By using links, readers will be brought to the Big Finish site where they can read more about the excellent productions. Then they are only a click or two away from buying the plays they like the sound of.

I'd like to add my thanks also to David for his excellent reviews. There are the occasional points of view I don't agree with, but they are presented so convingly, it is hard to to respect them. Always a pleasure to read - and I greatly look forward to reviews for the other ranges.
