Alas, I don't know much more than you chaps as I'm not involved in it. As the risk of sounding like Kanga speaking to Roo, you'll just have to wait and see.

Ah, see, Kanga usually gives rather good advice though! (Probably why she's my favorite of that bunch...)

But I'm getting off topic. Thanks anyways, Barnaby! :)

(And for the record, it can be pronounced "Caw-lee" like the dog breed, or "Caw-lay." Either works!)

Sadly, such news is rarely ours to give away: we're often contractually bound to let other agencies release this news first. Your well-founded sarcasm over the podcast is duly noted.

Oh, and this is NOT part of Big Finish Classics.

That's not surprising. As Robin Hood was never a classic anything! Of course, fans of the Disney Movie might disagree, but I always found the character of Robin Hood dull.

It would be nice if the BF Podcasts could give us new audio news first, where allowed obviously. Mind you, a not-far-behind second would do. However, we'd actually need a regular BF Podcast to do that wouldn't we? Drool

When I said 'classic', I only meant not the new series, which I believe is now cancelled.
But I was wrong, it is the new series.

Hi there

I'm not sure where you get the idea that the new Robin Hood series is cancelled. Series three will be broadcast in 2009. We'll have more news on this series for you all very soon :)

Cheers

Ahh, so it wasn't the lead character who left to join Spooks.

Well, Richard Armitage who plays Guy of Gisborne filmed his first series of Spooks and then returned to Robin Hood to film the third series, along with the rest of the cast, in Budapest

Cheers

Would these be dramatic readings perhaps? Similar to the Companion Chronicles?

Most of Big Finish's stuff is, apart from the Doctor Who stuff(including Benny).
Of course, the CCs are the exception.

Hmm, Robin Hood is a bit of a departure from the usual sci-fi, horror, fantasy themed projects BF have done so far. Unfortunately this is not something which will interest me. I've love to hear adaptations of the Necroscope series of books by Brian Lumley though.
