After being prompted by "Cadmium2"'s review of the early Tomorrow People I set to relistening to The Tomorrow People.

I'd forgotten what a powerful play "Rachel" was (with a stunning performance by Louise Jameson) but what a frustrating ending!

Please, BF, can we have a hint what was meant to have been the future ...

Still can't bring myself to listen to Rachel because I know its going to leave me with more questions than answers. Also I still like the feeling of knowing there is something new to listen too at some point. If the option to bring back the TP ever happens I'll be first to subscribe. Season Five was superb stuff.

Listen to the first disk if nothing else. It's more-or-less standalone, and Louise Jamesons' performance is absolutely stunning, especially some of the monologues which had the hairs standing on my neck. Very, very, good.

(I get the feeling that this was actually meant to be two separate releases at one point as you could, really, listen to either CD without listening to the other. If you see what I mean)

Actually it wasn't, Chris! (Sorry!) I made a deliberate decision to make two stylistically different discs, both telling different sides of the same story, but presented together.

Glad you liked it, though!

If I'm going to be corrected - then it's best to be corrected by the best! Thanks, Nigel! Applause

And now ... 'fess-up ... what was going to happen next ...

Six fabulous adventures progressing the story of a post-invasion Earth, the rise of the Cartel and the collapse of the Federation starring Nick Young, Elizabeth Adare, Peter Vaughan Clarke, Mike Holoway, Sammie Winmill, Helen Goldwyn, James Daniel Wilson, Trevor Littledale, Stuart Piper, Elizabeth Counsell, Louise Jameson and Ian Hallard. In 'Dr Who' terms think Season 4 finale, but over six stories.

Sigh...

Ooooh. That's so frustrating!

Seriously - I know that BF have lost the licence, but is there any way you could let us know the story? The who, what, where, when and how? Without wanting to give anyway any spoilers, I was particularly intrigued by how Helen and Louise's tale would end - especially Helen's!

Or, I suppose, any news on if BF can (or will try to) get the licence back to do more?

Such a shame that it all came to an end.

There's a 2 and half minute trailer for Series 6 at the beginning of Sapphire & Steel 2.4 The Mystery of the Missing Hour.

It sounded great. SO frustrating it never came to anything Brick wall

I'd forgotten about that trailer! Purely to frustrate myself (ooerr, missus) I think I'll listen to it again when I'm next on my boat where my CDs are. (iPods. Wonderful things, but not when you want to listen to a track you've not ripped off the CD. Brick wall )

Is there anyone us fans can write to requesting the license be renewed with Big Finish?? Although my main passion is Doctor Who, this series was and still is my favourite in the Audio Format.
