By the way, I just called up my various US credit card companies and found out that most of them (Chase, Citi, Barclays)charge 3%, but Discover actually doesn't charge anything extra on the currency fee. I guess I'll try to sure that when I make my next order. --
Edit: small problem with that - Discover isn't an option here. Oh, well.
Further edit: I found another credit card which only has the 1% charge, but the Protyx security business didn't work. I'll have to try another day.

If you don't mind using the check card from your bank, you can ask them what their rate is.

Are there any others that have no currrency exchange charge? Not that it affects me, because I'm in England.

I finally got my credit card to work. This one is supposed to just have the 1% Mastercard charge on currency conversion and nothing else added to that. So, since Discover wasn't an option, this was my best choice. I just checked the website of the card and there is a pending charge of $232.13. So, the exchange rate must have gone down a little more since the website set it at $208.46+$28.60 = $237.06.
