rogue trooper, bad company, abc warriors, indigo prime in particular.
Comic related stuff in general really i know getting licences from the "big boys" i.e. marvel & DC would be tough (and expensive) but why not some of the smaller publishers house (avatar, idw, etc, etc)
more horror (hammer adpatations or similar would be fun)
fantasy - a BF & game workshop hook up would be amazing
less Dr Who? (heresey i know)

After reading the third Lucifer Box novel by Mark Gatiss, it struck me that his adventures would make brilliant audio plays! The 3 novels span over 50 years of Lucifer Box's life so there's plenty of scope to fit in some untold stories....surely Mark could be tempted back to Big Finish to write a couple!
Oh and count me in for anything with Bruce Campbell in....the man is a legend!!!!

I'd love to hear how BF would handle "Flowers For Algernon". It was the first proper 'adult' book I ever read when I was about nine and I've read it nearly every other year since, and I still can't help but shed a tear at the end. Radio Two did it donkeys years ago with Tom Courtney in the lead role of Charley Gordon and it was a really moving play and got the story down perfectly, but I could imagine that it'd be the sort of role that would be perfect for David these days.

Oh and count me in for anything with Bruce Campbell in....the man is a legend!!!! totally agree i am a big fan of mark gatiss's work on all fronts from the league...to his doctor who whork and the lucifer box novels. we also grew up in the same village in the north east which partly inspired Royston Vasey....anyone who made it out of that place gets my respect

Hi Folks,
The BBC have already started doing Mark Gatiss's Lucifer Box novels, so that's a no.
As for Flowers For Algernon, I agree it's a great play and would be ideal for, say, Big Finish Classics. However, people have to start buying the Classics range if they want to see more titles appearing in future... ;-)
Regarding the Evil Dead franchise, I'm not quite sure how that would work on audio since zombies are essentially visual creatures. Also, we'd never be able to get Bruce Campbell.
Artemis Fowl? All the books are already available on audio format.
Tripods? No, Disney own the rights.
Philip Reeve's quartet? The audios are just about to come out, read by Kenneth Branagh.
Games Workshop? Jason's already directed an audio for them, with Danny Webb reading. It sold out almost immediately, but it isn't a Big Finish production, alas.
All good suggestions, though.

Another topic put me in mind of the Thorne Smith books, which are HILARIOUS! Ghosts, parallel universes, men turning into animals, body-swapping, and statues coming to life? All great fodder for Big Finish! More importantly, his books are driven more by words than visuals, filled with snappy dialogue, and are all seventy years past the copyright. "Topper" or "Nightlife of the Gods" would both make particularly fine audios, IMO.
(Barring this suggestion, I'm still in favor of "Sliders" or "VR.5"...)

I think The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss could work really well on audio. The remaining two books in The Kingkiller Chronicle have not yet been released, but they might be good follow-ups. This hasn't been licensed yet, has it?

Really? Blimey, I must admit to surprise at that as, BF's productions already transmitted aside, BBC7 would strike me as a natural commissioning body for new works. Appreciate that there's issues you can't really comment on but when you say "Don't have the power" is that that BBC7 can only, say, re-transmit works done by Radio 4 and co, and can't do it's own original stuff? If so - must say that's pretty short sighted of the BBC (and no comment on BF, obviously!) BBC7 is fantastic, but like 'Dave' is blighted by far, far, too many repeats and not enough original works.

I don't know if anyone has suggested this yet, but what about "THE LOST ROOM"? It was a miniseries on tv here in the States that is just BEGGING to be made into a series. It seems that a TV series isn't going to materialize, so why not an audio one? The Lost Room on WikipediaThe Lost Room is a science fiction television miniseries that aired on the Sci Fi Channel in the United States. The series revolves around the titular room and some of the hundred everyday items from that room that possess unusual powers. The show's protagonist, Joe Miller, is searching for these objects to rescue his daughter, Anna, who has disappeared inside the Room. Once a typical room at a 1960s motel along U.S. Route 66, the Lost Room now exists outside of normal time and space.I loved it, it was an amazing mini-series. It was so quirky and bizarre... all the objects, mysterious powers, it is just a fascinating concept. The holder of the room key can travel anywhere there is a door with a lock in it. The Event, the Object, the Cabals... the story already has a built in mythology to draw upon, as well as the idea of doing stories with nothing to do with the Lost Room.

What about classic children's stories - to prep the next generation of Big Finish fans. Tripods has already been mentioned - what about the Borrowers, Box of Delights, the Wind in the Willows, EB White books, etc.
They may be more interested in a full cast adaptation than audiobooks.
