    Favourite Sherlock adaptation

BF aside, what's your favourite version of the master detective? Any of the movies, TV miniseries or full series, maybe even a radio production or comic? Perhaps you even remember Miyazaki's Sherlock Hound...

The BBC Radio Four stories with Clive Merrison are the best Sherlock Holmes adaptations for me.

I have a soft spot for Matt Frewer's Sherlock.
    - Why? Because I think I'm clever.

    I love 'Sherlock'.

Jonny Lee Miller is gret in Elementary, but it's a feeble show. Sherlock Holmes should not be solving 42 min 'murder-committed-by-the-already-focused-on-minor-character' predictable murders. He should dazzle us with things we didn't spot ourselves.

I actually quite enjoy Elementary. It won't give Sherlock a run for its money in terms of ambition, but Miller is solid and I think he works well with Liu. Plus it's more low key compared to many other US procedurals and doesn't rely excessively on visual indulgence or cheesy ad-break friendly (puts on sunglasses) one liners.
