Perfect casting Though I'd prefer her to get a trilogy (and more!) as Raine Creevey over this.

    Why not both?

    She would be perfect.

It is a little bit off topic, because if she joined Big Finish I would rather she play the character she is best known for, but I always get a feeling of Steed and Mrs Peel with the Doctor and Amy Pond in The Eleventh Hour. I don't know why, but it came to my mind the first time I watched it and every time there after.

However I think Karen Gillan is too busy and too young to be Mrs Peel.

I wonder when we will find out who it is. I confess I haven't order these box sets as yet as I am waiting to find out. I've got no problem with it being an unknown, but I might then have to wait for a trailer.

I know it's not just about actual age, but Karen Gillan is, what, 27 now? Diana Rigg was much the same age when Town of No Return was made.

Of course, Julian Wadham is around 13 years older now than Macnee was then, so the age difference would be bigger...

+1! She definitely has the richness of voice and the right tones for Emma Peel.

Miranda Raison has the right combination of elements the character requires and that 'just right' period voice for Emma.
